Quick Synopsis
Hiroshi, while helping out at a friend's shop, accidentally breaks a jar worth one million yen and is unable to pay for it. Desperate, he contacts his parents and learns that his father is seriously ill with only a year to live. Wanting to bring happiness to his father, Hiroshi decides to enter into a fake marriage. Through the internet, they find Ayako, a lesbian teacher interested in such an arrangement. When they go to meet her, Ayako's angry girlfriend, Ami, appears, and at the same time, a man arrives to collect Hiroshi's unpaid debt. In the chaos, Hiroshi, Ami, and Toshiya steal a van and set off together in search of Ayako.
Detailed Synopsis of Kyōkai-sen no mukō-gawa
One day, Hiroshi was helping in an acquaintance's shop and accidentally breaks a jar that cost 1 million yen. Hiroshi can't pay for that and he calls his parents' house as a last resort. He receives news that his father is ill with only 1 year left. Hiroshi wants to make his father happy and decides on a fake marriage. They find a lesbian teacher called Ayako interested in fake marriage on the internet. However, when they go to meet her the angry girlfriend of Ayako called Ami shows up and a man tries to catch Hiroshi for not paying his 1 million yen debt. They steal a van and Ami, Hiroshi and Toshiya drive off in hopes of finding Ayako.
