Les Misérables

Set in 19th century France, the story follows Jean Valjean, who is released from prison after serving time for stealing bread to feed his family. After breaking parole, he is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert, a police officer determined to bring him back to justice. As Valjean tries to build a new life, their conflict continues to affect them both deeply. Meanwhile, Valjean becomes involved with a group of students who are preparing for revolutionary uprisings in Paris, placing him at the center of the political unrest of the time.
