Quick Synopsis

The Claus family has a long tradition of passing down the role of Santa Claus to selected family members who retire from the position. Every Christmas, the current Santa, along with a large team of skilled elves, organizes a high-tech operation to deliver gifts to children worldwide in a single night. When one child's gift is accidentally left undelivered out of 600 million, the family considers it an acceptable mistake, except for Arthur Claus, the younger son of the current Santa. Although Arthur is seen as unsuitable to become Santa, he decides to take matters into his own hands by embarking on an unauthorized mission to deliver the missed present before Christmas morning, traveling across the globe to complete the task.

Detailed Synopsis of Arthur Christmas

For hundreds of years, the Claus family has delegated the title "Santa" to a chosen few of its members, which can be passed down upon retirement. Each Christmas, Santa and his vast army of highly trained elves produce gifts and distribute them around the world in a one-night high-tech operation. However, when one of 600 million children to receive a gift from Santa on Christmas Eve is missed, it is deemed ‘acceptable’ to all but one—Arthur Claus, the current Santa’s misfit son deemed ineligible for the title, who executes an unauthorised rookie mission to get the last present halfway around the globe before dawn on Christmas morning.
