Quick Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Riley and her family relocate to a new city, which causes her to struggle with the changes in her life. Inside her mind, five emotions—Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness—try to guide her through this difficult adjustment. However, when Joy and Sadness accidentally get separated from the others, they must navigate through unknown parts of Riley's mind to find their way back, while the other emotions try to help Riley cope with her new environment.
Detailed Synopsis of Inside Out
When 11-year-old Riley moves to a new city, her Emotions team up to help her through the transition. Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness work together, but when Joy and Sadness get lost, they must journey through unfamiliar places to get back home.
