Elite Squad

In 1997, just before the pope's planned visit to Rio de Janeiro, Captain Nascimento, a member of BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion), is tasked with reducing the threat posed by drug dealers in a violent slum near the area where the pope will stay. His mission is to secure the neighborhood and ensure the safety of the visit by confronting the criminal elements operating there.
