Woo-jin, a student retaking his college entrance exam, visits his small island hometown with Kang-hee, a friend of Taek-sik. Woo-jin's mother, Hyeon-sook, runs a modest sashimi restaurant and a bed and breakfast to support herself. Despite having a sexual relationship with Bong-seong, Hyeon-sook refuses his marriage proposals. One day, Woo-jin is deeply disturbed when he unexpectedly witnesses an intimate encounter between his mother and Bong-seong.
