In 1942, during World War II, a Canadian intelligence officer stationed in North Africa meets a French Resistance fighter while they are both involved in a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. After successfully completing their operation, they return to London and begin a romantic relationship. However, as the war continues, their trust and loyalty are challenged by the intense pressures and suspicions that come with their secretive work and the ongoing conflict.
