Village of Dreams

Set in a rural Japanese village shortly after World War II, the story follows the childhood of nine-year-old twin boys as they navigate their daily lives. The twins have a close relationship with their mother, who works as a schoolteacher, and their father, a civil servant. They also interact with the village's elderly landlord and face challenges brought by a tough new boy at their school. Throughout their experiences, the twins encounter three mysterious spirits appearing as old women, adding an element of mystery to their coming-of-age story.
