There Will Be Blood

Daniel Plainview, a determined silver miner who becomes an oil prospector, relocates to California where oil deposits are abundant. To gain the trust of local landowners, he presents himself as a devoted family man by involving his son in his business dealings. Using this image, he convinces landowners to sell their valuable land to him for low prices. However, Eli Sunday, a preacher in the community, grows suspicious of Daniel's true intentions. This suspicion leads to a prolonged conflict between the two men that escalates and endangers both of their lives.
