Doug Harris, a kind but socially awkward man preparing to marry the woman he loves, faces a problem: he doesn't have a best man for his wedding. With less than two weeks before the ceremony, Doug is introduced to Jimmy Callahan, who runs Best Man, Inc., a business that supplies professional best men to men who struggle socially. As Doug and Jimmy work together to create the appearance of a genuine friendship and pull off the wedding without a hitch, they develop an unexpected friendship despite the initial arrangement being a business deal.
