Malcolm is a high school student living in a challenging neighborhood in Los Angeles, where he tries to navigate daily life while preparing for college through applications, interviews, and the SAT. When he receives an unexpected invitation to an underground party, he becomes involved in an experience that challenges his identity and offers him a chance to move beyond his reputation as a geek, helping him discover who he truly is.
