Temptress Moon

Set in the 1920s on the outskirts of Shanghai, Temptress Moon follows the troubled life of Ruyi, the youngest daughter of a wealthy family. Despite their wealth, her father and brother are addicted to opium, and Ruyi is raised more like a servant within her own home. Her brother-in-law, Zhongliang, leads a secret life in the city, making a living by seducing and blackmailing married women. When Zhongliang visits Ruyi's household, they develop a romantic relationship, which leads to complications and conflict within the family and their social circle.
