In an anatomy class, a group of students discover that war has begun, leading several of them to enlist and undergo basic training at Camp Poodle. Initially disturbed by the ongoing shelling, they quickly adapt and become experienced soldiers within a week. Barker volunteers, somewhat reluctantly, to parachute behind enemy lines disguised as a nurse to gather intelligence on enemy troop movements. However, he is captured and sentenced to death. During anatomy class, students learn that war has broken out. Several enlist and are sent to Camp Poodle, for rookie training. At first the constant shelling bothers them, but within a week they are veterans, unfazed. Barker sort of volunteers to parachute behind enemy lines disguised as a nurse to get the enemy's troop movements. He's captured and sentenced to die, so his mates in the Airdale Army attempt a rescue. Will they succeed?
