Repulsion

Carole, a young and attractive manicurist living in London, struggles with androphobia, an intense fear of interacting with men. When her sister and roommate, Helen, leaves their shared apartment to travel to Italy with her married boyfriend, Carole is left alone. Isolated in the flat, she starts to retreat from reality, experiencing disturbing hallucinations that reflect her growing fear and anxiety. Over time, her mental state deteriorates as her phobia deepens into a form of madness.
