Love and Crime

This film presents a collection of short stories centered on unusual crimes committed by women during Japan's Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods. It explores the lives and actions of four notorious female criminals: Takahashi Oden, known as the last woman to be executed by beheading in Japan; Sada Abe, infamous for her intense and violent romantic obsession; Kunihiko Kodaira, a woman involved in rape and murder; and the case of Toyokaku, who went to great lengths to take control of a hotel. Each story delves into the circumstances and motivations behind these crimes, providing insight into these historical figures.
