Natsume's Book of Friends: The Waking Rock and the Strange Visitor

The film consists of two stories centered around Natsume and his interactions with youkai. In the first story, "Ishi Okoshi," Natsume encounters a small youkai named Mitsumi in a forest. Mitsumi has the important role of waking a powerful divine youkai called Iwatetsu from a long sleep, and Natsume, feeling concerned for Mitsumi, decides to help him with this task. The second story, "Ayashiki Raihousha," follows Tanuma, who begins receiving visits from a mysterious youkai. This visitor appears almost daily, engaging in brief conversations with Tanuma before leaving. Although Natsume knows the visitor is a youkai and worries about Tanuma's well-being, Tanuma enjoys these encounters. However, despite the youkai's harmless intentions, Tanuma's health gradually declines as the visits continue.
