Clifford Peache is a laid-back teenager struggling to adjust to his new high school, where a notorious bully intimidates other students and demands their lunch money. When Clifford decides not to give in to the bully's demands, he seeks help from a large, socially isolated student whose intimidating presence deters both students and teachers. What starts as a practical arrangement between Clifford and this outsider gradually develops into a genuine friendship, as they work together to stand up to the bullies and support each other through their challenges.
