Major Payne

Major Benson Winifred Payne, a highly skilled and tough Marine, is being discharged from the military as the nature of warfare changes. Uncertain about how to adjust to civilian life, Payne's former commander helps him find a new role as the commanding officer of a Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program at a local school. There, he is tasked with leading a group of underperforming and unmotivated students, who initially seem like a lost cause.
