Set in 1980s France, the film tells the story of Bruno Sulak, a non-violent criminal known for a series of bold robberies. After each heist, he managed to escape from police custody in daring ways, which drew significant public attention. Throughout his criminal activities, Bruno was motivated by his desire to be reunited with his partner and accomplice, Annie. His actions made him France's most wanted man, but also a symbol of freedom to many.
