Bardock, a low-ranking Saiyan soldier and the father of Son Goku, gains the ability to see into the future after an encounter with the last surviving alien on a planet he has just destroyed. Through these visions, he learns about the upcoming destruction of the Saiyan race by the tyrant Frieza. Determined to prevent this disaster, Bardock sets out to stop Frieza's planned massacre and protect his people.
