Double Indemnity

In a mid-20th century American city, an insurance salesman becomes involved with a discontented housewife who persuades him to help her carry out a plan to commit insurance fraud by murdering her husband. As they execute their scheme, a claims investigator at the insurance company begins to suspect that something is wrong and starts investigating the case, putting the salesman and the housewife under increasing pressure.
