In a remote underwater research facility called Aquatica, scientists have genetically modified the brains of captive sharks in an effort to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. However, this modification unexpectedly makes the sharks more intelligent, quicker, and more aggressive. When a severe storm damages the isolated lab, the researchers find themselves trapped and must struggle to survive against the now highly dangerous sharks.
