Clear and Present Danger

When Admiral Greer, the CIA's Director of Intelligence, is diagnosed with cancer, Agent Jack Ryan steps in as the acting Deputy Director. Shortly after, an American businessman and close friend of the president is found murdered on his yacht, prompting Ryan to investigate. He uncovers connections between the victim and drug trafficking organizations. Meanwhile, former CIA operative John Clark is deployed to Colombia on a covert mission to eliminate leaders of a drug cartel as retaliation. As Ryan digs deeper, he encounters several layers of secrecy and cover-ups within the government, forcing him to unravel the truth behind the murder and identify those responsible.
