In Los Angeles, the top hip-hop dance crews gather at Mr. Rad's Warehouse to compete for cash prizes and local respect. During one of these competitions, a group of dancers from a suburban neighborhood unexpectedly enters the scene, attracting some of the best dancers and adopting their signature moves. This causes tension between two longtime friends who have been rivals, forcing them to set aside their differences and work together to defend their reputation and represent their community in the street dance world.
