August Pullman is a young boy born with facial differences that have required numerous surgeries and have kept him out of a traditional school setting. As he starts fifth grade, he faces the challenge of attending a regular elementary school for the first time, where he must navigate new social dynamics and the reactions of classmates while striving to be accepted and treated like any other child.
