Mark Renton, a heroin addict living in Edinburgh, struggles with addiction and attempts to get clean while surrounded by his troubled friends: Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, and Tommy. Alongside them is Diane, his underage girlfriend, who becomes part of their chaotic lives. After managing to overcome his addiction, Mark moves to London to start fresh, but his past catches up with him when Begbie and Sick Boy arrive, pulling him back into the dangerous lifestyle he tried to leave behind.
Detailed Synopsis of Trainspotting
Heroin addict Mark Renton stumbles through bad ideas and sobriety attempts with his unreliable friends --Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud and Tommy. He also has an underage girlfriend, Diane, along for the ride. After cleaning up and moving from Edinburgh to London, Mark finds he can't escape the life he left behind as Begbie and Sick Boy come knocking.
