Three of a Kind

Ngan, a successful novelist played by Michael Hui, enjoys a comfortable life supported by the royalties from his books. His main focus is now on his daughter Sophia, portrayed by Miriam Yeung, who is at the age where she is ready to settle down but has yet to find the right partner. Sophia has developed feelings for her boss Frankie, a known playboy played by Lau Ching Wan. After an accident forces Frankie to stay at Sophia's house temporarily, their relationship deepens and they become lovers, eventually planning to marry. Concerned for his daughter's future, Ngan feels compelled to intervene and break up their relationship before it progresses further. This situation forces Sophia to face a difficult choice between her love for Frankie and her loyalty to her father.
