Quick Synopsis
Archduke Alexander, played by Clive Brook, is known more for his numerous romantic affairs than for his achievements in diplomacy. Throughout his life, he has been involved with many women but never stayed with any of them for long. However, his attitude changes when he meets Judith Peredy, a Hungarian woman portrayed by Billie Dove. Although Judith initially resists Alexander's attempts to win her over, she eventually reveals that she has fallen in love with him. The film, The Yellow Lily, marks the second collaboration between actress Billie Dove and director Alexander Korda.
Detailed Synopsis of The Yellow Lily
Archduke Alexander (Clive Brook) is better known for his sexual conquests than his diplomatic triumphs. After a lifetime of loving 'em and leaving 'em, the Archduke finally meets a girl he can't leave, Hungarian lass Judith Peredy (Billie Dove). She resists his advances but can't hide the fact that she's in love with him. The Yellow Lily was the second of four cinematic collaborations between star Billie Dove and director Alexander Korda.
