The Talented Mr. Ripley

Tom Ripley is a clever young man who prefers pretending to be someone important rather than accepting his ordinary life. When a wealthy American shipbuilder offers him a job to go to Italy and convince his carefree son, Dickie, to return home, Tom takes the opportunity. Once in Italy, Tom becomes involved in the luxurious lifestyle of Dickie and his girlfriend, gradually becoming part of their circle. As he grows closer to them, Tom becomes entangled in a complex plan involving deception, false identities, and eventually murder.
