The Peasants

In a rural village, a young peasant woman named Jagna is compelled to marry Boryna, a wealthy farmer much older than herself, even though she loves his son, Antek. As Jagna adjusts to her new life, she faces growing jealousy and hostility from the other villagers, who resent her position and independence. Throughout these challenges, Jagna struggles to maintain her sense of self and autonomy within the constraints of her community.
