The Orphanage

A woman returns to her childhood home, a building that once served as an orphanage, with the goal of reopening it as a place for children in need. She moves in with her family, including her young son, who soon begins to interact with an unseen presence that he refers to as a new invisible friend. As strange events unfold, the family must confront the history of the house and the mysterious connection her son has formed.
