The Lychee Road

Set during the Tang Dynasty, the story follows Li Shande, a middle-aged minor official who is facing difficulties in his career and personal life. He takes on a risky assignment to transport fresh lychees across China, hoping that completing this challenging journey will bring him the success and recognition he has been unable to achieve so far. Despite the dangers and obstacles along the way, Li Shande is determined to make this mission his final opportunity to improve his standing and secure a better future.
