Nam-bok, a middle-aged farmer from South Korea, is drafted into the military during the war and given the important task of delivering a secret document that could influence the outcome of the conflict. During an enemy attack, he loses the document, which is then found by Yeong-gwang, a teenage soldier from North Korea who is traveling back to his homeland. The story follows their encounter as Nam-bok tries to recover the document and Yeong-gwang deals with the responsibility of carrying it.
Detailed Synopsis of The Long Way Home
Nam-bok, a middle-aged South Korean farmer is conscripted and assigned a mission to deliver a classified military document that may decide the fate of the war. After losing it while under attack from the enemy, he then faces a teenage North Korean soldier named Yeong-gwang who happens to acquire the secret document on his way to the North.
