In a small coastal town in California, preparations are underway to celebrate its 100th anniversary when unusual events start to happen. Objects around the town begin moving on their own, Reverend Malone uncovers a disturbing secret related to how the town was founded, radio announcer Stevie sees a strange, glowing fire, and a hitchhiker named Elizabeth finds the body of a fisherman who has been mutilated. Soon after, a strange, shimmering fog rolls into the town, leading to more unexplained deaths among the residents.

Strange things begin to occur as a tiny California coastal town prepares to commemorate its centenary. Inanimate objects spring eerily to life; Rev. Malone stumbles upon a dark secret about the town's founding; radio announcer Stevie witnesses a mystical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth discovers the mutilated corpse of a fisherman. Then a mysterious iridescent fog descends upon the village, and more people start to die.
