Bobby Rayburn, the center-fielder for the San Francisco Giants, is signed for $40 million with the hope that he will lead the team to the World Series. Gil Renard, a devoted fan and the team's biggest supporter, is thrilled by this. However, when Rayburn falls into the worst slump of his career, Renard becomes increasingly obsessed with helping him recover. His dedication grows so intense that he is willing to go to extreme lengths, including committing murder, to ensure Rayburn returns to his former success.

When the San Francisco Giants pay center-fielder, Bobby Rayburn $40 million to lead their team to the World Series, no one is happier or more supportive than #1 fan, Gil Renard.
