Hae-woong, a candidate running for a local assembly seat, is forced out of the race after clashing with a powerful local figure named Sun-tae. Struggling with debt from a failed campaign loan and pursued by loan sharks, Hae-woong decides to take drastic action. He steals confidential government documents detailing an urban development project and enlists the help of Pil-do, a local gang leader, by promising him significant profits from real estate deals. With Pil-do's support, Hae-woong re-enters the election and seeks to get revenge on Sun-tae. However, as he navigates the dangerous world of politics, he soon realizes that his troubles are far from over.
Detailed Synopsis of The Devil's Deal
Hae-woong, an assembly member candidate, is taken out of the running because he became a thorn in the side of a local bigwig, Sun-tae. Hounded by loan sharks, due to defaulting a campaign loan, he decides to get his hands dirty. He steals classified government’s information about an urban development plan and obtains the help of a local gang leader, Pil-do, by promising hefty real estate profit. Now Hae-woong re-enters the race and tries to take revenge on Sun-tae. Unbeknownst to him, his messy journey through politics has only just begun.
