The Departed

In South Boston, the police department attempts to dismantle the local Irish Mafia by assigning an undercover officer to infiltrate the criminal organization. At the same time, the Mafia places one of their own members within the police force, allowing a career criminal to advance through the ranks. As the undercover cop gains the trust of the mob leader, both the police and the Mafia begin to suspect that there is a double agent operating within their own groups, leading to a tense and dangerous situation for everyone involved.
