Quick Synopsis
The Croods are a prehistoric family living in a time filled with constant dangers. The family consists of Grug, the protective father, his partner Ugga, their teenage daughter Eep, their son Thunk, and the spirited grandmother Gran. During the day, they search for food, and at night, they take shelter together in their cave. Their routine is disrupted when a more advanced caveman named Guy appears. Although Grug is initially suspicious of Guy, it soon becomes clear that Guy's warnings about an approaching disaster threatening their world are true.

The prehistoric Croods family live in a particularly dangerous moment in time. Patriarch Grug, his mate Ugga, teenage daughter Eep, son Thunk, and feisty Gran gather food by day and huddle together in a cave at night. When a more evolved caveman named Guy arrives on the scene, Grug is distrustful, but it soon becomes apparent that Guy is correct about the impending destruction of their world.
