The City of Violence

Tae-su, a detective specializing in organized crime, comes back to his hometown to attend the funeral of his high school friend Wang-jae. While there, he reconnects with old friends Pil-ho, Dong-hwan, and Seok-hwan, and they share memories of their past. Tae-su becomes suspicious about the circumstances surrounding Wang-jae's death, so he and Seok-hwan begin separate investigations. Their inquiries uncover a connection to a land development project that Pil-ho is managing, suggesting deeper issues behind Wang-jae's death.
