Quick Synopsis
Antoine Doinel is a young boy living in Paris who faces many challenges in his daily life. He struggles with neglectful parents and adults who do not understand or support him. Antoine spends most of his time with his close friend Rene, and together they try to come up with plans to improve their situation. However, when one of their plans fails, Antoine gets into legal trouble, which causes further difficulties as he deals with harsh and unsympathetic authority figures.
Detailed Synopsis of The 400 Blows
For young Parisian boy Antoine Doinel, life is one difficult situation after another. Surrounded by inconsiderate adults, including his neglectful parents, Antoine spends his days with his best friend, Rene, trying to plan for a better life. When one of their schemes goes awry, Antoine ends up in trouble with the law, leading to even more conflicts with unsympathetic authority figures.
