However, his efforts face opposition from The Firm, an Israeli corporation led by Klausner that dominates the country's candy market. Klausner resents Salah due to his previous success in taking over the Israeli Turkish coffee market and views Salah's new venture as a significant threat—not just commercially, but also culturally and politically, interpreting it as a challenge to Zionist ideals. Beneath the surface of this business conflict, the story explores deeper moral questions and cultural tensions, focusing on Salah's struggle to establish himself within modern Israeli society while confronting the prevailing Zionist culture.
