As autumn arrives, the Kitauji High School concert band is busy preparing for the upcoming National Competition. The band members are unsettled when they hear that Asuka Tanaka, the club's vice president and a key euphonium player known for her beauty and charisma, might quit the band. Although Asuka is admired and relied upon by everyone, she keeps her true feelings hidden behind a cool exterior. Initially, Kumiko, another band member, does not get along with Asuka, but her perspective changes when she learns about Asuka's possible departure.
