Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Ruby Gillman is a kind but socially awkward teenager attending high school who learns that she is a direct descendant of the kraken queens, legendary warriors tasked with guarding the world's oceans. These kraken have a long-standing duty to defend the seas from mermaids who seek power for selfish reasons. As Ruby prepares to take over the leadership role from her strong-willed grandmother, she must learn to control her new abilities in order to protect her family and friends from the threats posed by the mermaids.
