Quick Synopsis
After years of fighting, John Rambo has retreated to a monastery where he is trying to live a peaceful life. His former commander and friend, Colonel Trautman, approaches him with a request to assist on a secret mission in Afghanistan. Rambo initially refuses to get involved, but when Trautman is captured by enemy forces, Rambo decides to leave the monastery and go on a rescue mission to save him.

Combat has taken its toll on Rambo, but he's finally begun to find inner peace in a monastery. When Rambo's friend and mentor Col. Trautman asks for his help on a top secret mission to Afghanistan, Rambo declines but must reconsider when Trautman is captured.
