Project Hail Mary

Ryland Grace, a science teacher, wakes up aboard a spaceship far from Earth with no memory of his identity or how he arrived there. As fragments of his memory come back, he realizes he is on a mission to investigate a strange substance that is causing the sun to lose its energy, threatening life on Earth. Using his scientific expertise and unconventional thinking, he works to find a solution to prevent Earth's extinction.
