Quick Synopsis
In 1990s Miami, Daniel Lugo, who manages the Sun Gym, believes the only way to reach his idea of the American dream is through extortion. To carry out his plan, he enlists two bodybuilders, Paul and Adrian, to help him. After a few unsuccessful tries, they kidnap a wealthy businessman named Victor Kershaw and force him to transfer all his assets to them. However, when Kershaw escapes, the police are hesitant to accept his account of the events.
Detailed Synopsis of Pain & Gain
Daniel Lugo, manager of the Sun Gym in 1990s Miami, decides that there is only one way to achieve his version of the American dream: extortion. To achieve his goal, he recruits musclemen Paul and Adrian as accomplices. After several failed attempts, they abduct rich businessman Victor Kershaw and convince him to sign over all his assets to them. But when Kershaw makes it out alive, authorities are reluctant to believe his story.
