Quick Synopsis
In 1988, Chile was under the rule of military dictator Augusto Pinochet, who, facing international pressure, agreed to hold a national plebiscite to decide whether he would remain president for another eight years. The people were to vote 'Yes' to keep Pinochet in power or 'No' to end his rule. A group of opposition leaders supporting the 'No' vote recruited René Saavedra, a young and confident advertising executive, to lead their campaign. Despite limited resources and constant surveillance by government agents, Saavedra and his team developed a bold advertising strategy aimed at convincing the public to vote against Pinochet, hoping to bring democracy back to Chile.
