Mary Queen of Scots

In 1561, Mary Stuart, recently widowed from the King of France, returns to Scotland to reclaim her throne. Her presence challenges Queen Elizabeth I of England, as Mary has a legitimate claim to the English crown. Throughout their reigns, both queens face betrayals, rebellions, and conspiracies, as well as difficult personal decisions that threaten their rule. Their struggle for power ultimately leads to tragic consequences for both women.
