Set in a modern high school environment where social media platforms like YouTube, iTunes, and Facebook play a big role in daily life, the story follows Lola and her group of friends as they deal with the challenges of teenage romance and friendship. At the same time, they try to manage their relationships with parents who often seem overprotective or out of touch. The situation becomes more complicated when Lola's mother, Anne, unintentionally discovers her daughter's private and revealing journal, which highlights the growing distance in their communication and understanding.
