In a suburban home, siblings Judy and Peter find an old board game called Jumanji, which magically transports them into a dangerous jungle world. During their game, they accidentally release Alan, a man who has been trapped inside the game for 26 years. To escape, Alan must complete the game, but the three of them face many threats, including giant rhinoceroses, aggressive monkeys, and other dangerous animals as they try to finish the game and return to their normal lives.

When siblings Judy and Peter discover an enchanted board game that opens the door to a magical world, they unwittingly invite Alan -- an adult who's been trapped inside the game for 26 years -- into their living room. Alan's only hope for freedom is to finish the game, which proves risky as all three find themselves running from giant rhinoceroses, evil monkeys and other terrifying creatures.
